Today, I have one question for you: do you ever want to escape?
I mean really escape. Like you took a good look at all that was on your plate, all that was coming at you, and everything that felt like it was weighing you down and thought to yourself I have got to get out of here!
Yeah, I thought so. Me too. But do you know what I do? I run, fast. I run with all of my might, right into the arms of a loving God. A God who promises never to leave or forsake me at the height of my troubles. And I promise you if He’s that for me, He can be even more for you!
GOD IS our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 (AMP)
God IS a refuge – a safe place – for us to run to with our worries, fears, and emotions. We can trust Him to protect and strengthen us. He never sleeps and He never abandons us. So, the next time you want to escape, I encourage you to run to Him – run into His loving arms and don’t look back.
In a world of uncertainty, angst, pandemics, and every pressing thing on every side, I want to you know this: God is concerned about YOU. He is concerned about YOUR family. He is concerned about YOUR well-being. And even though things may look like they’re falling apart or going every which way but the right way, God’s promises for your life will always come to pass.
This is where peace comes in.
Peace is power. It is “freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts” that infringe on our faith and growth. Peace is a disruptor to fear, anxiety or worry. It anchors us – securing us firmly in place so that we are not easily shaken or intimidated.
God’s peace surpasses all understanding. If we allow it, peace can permeate every facet of our lives paving the way for our faith to grow – for our trust in God to deepen.
[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. Jeremiah 17:7 (AMP)
Beautiful One, God knew you when you were in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He approved of you as His chosen instrument, and before you were born He set you apart.
You are unique and wonderfully made. You are created by a God who loves and cares for you. I encourage you to allow His peace to anchor you during your storm.
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Colossians 3:15 (AMP)
Remember, God is for you (Romans 8:31), God is with you, and He is ALWAYS on your side. Let His peace lead you from faith to faith, and glory to glory!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
Hebrew 12:1
Beautiful Ones, strip off every weight that’s slowing you down, every care that keeps you burdened, distracted or fearful. We are created in God’s image. We are created to endure and run our race knowing that we are never alone. Success is ours. Joy is ours.
Let’s pray…
Father, as we run the race you set before us, let us run with endurance, not allowing anything or anyone to distract us from being successful in life, from fulfilling our purpose in the earth. Be a lamp to our feet and a compass for our lives.
We celebrate all the Women, Mothers and the one who ever was a mother figure in your life. Maybe you were one the motherly figures, godmother, foster parent etc.
Today I encourage you: keep on being an awesome woman and mother! Continue to apply wisdom to your life situations.
Godly wisdom is defined as, “The ability to discern or judge what is true, right; a gift from God to view life from a spiritual perspective; by applying biblical principles in all areas of life.”
I believe that Wisdom and knowledge gives us the ability to make the right choices at the right time to help cope with our everyday life situations and circumstances.
We must always keep in mind that we need inspiration and wisdom and knowledge from heaven!
Pr.4:7 tells us (NKJV) Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
A Woman Of Wisdom
Proverbs 31:26-28 tells us (NKJV)She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness.27 She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness.28 Her children rise up and call her blessed
In these scriptures we learn that a woman of wisdom takes good care of her children and household by addressing their physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual needs.
Things A Woman Of Wisdom Does For Her Household
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom
26 She has the law of kindness on her tongue
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
27 She does not eat the bread of idleness
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed
She loves her children and family dearly and will try to be the best person she can be for their sake.
Heb.13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of Praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name.
As the author here encourages us to Continually offer up a Sacrifice of Praise to God.” Praise is something that we offer to God sacrificially, not just because we feel like it, but because we believe in Him and Desire to Please Him.
We are to be captivated and filled with the greatness, goodness and grace of God. We should be like a cup: filled to the brim, always spilling over in praises to Him.
Ps.54:6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will Praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
Created is defined as: To cause to exist; bring into being.
The definition of praise is to: express, honor, and gratitude to God through worship, words, attitudes, and actions (expressions of love, and appreciation to God).
Today, I encourage you to have an attitude of Praise in your own private prayer time and throughout your day, by realizing that you were created to Praise the Lord. Every time you wake up and breathe you should begin to glorify Him.
You can praise God anywhere at anytime! And the more you praise, the more it will be as normal as breathing.
Psalms 150:6 says, let everything that hath breathe Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
It’s not enough just to have Praise in your heart; the word says we need to have it in our mouth as well.
I will bless the LORD at all times: his Praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalms 34:1
My tongue shall speak of God’s righteousness and of His Praise all the day long. Psalm 35:28
Enter into God’s gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with Praise. Psalm 100:4
When you first begin to truly praise God, it may seem awkward to you, but if you keep on Praising, it will soon become a way of life. Praise will cause the glory of God to be manifested in your life. It will cause you to walk in the light of His Countenance.
Psalms 89:15 says; Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
So you need to open up your mouth and your heart and do what God has created you to do…PRAISE HIM!
Beautiful Ones, I encourage you to pray over your family.
Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life.
So today, I want to encourage you to stop and take time out to pray this over your wonderful family.
Pray that your family would have divine protection and that no harm would come to any member. Pray for their desire to dwell in the shelter of the Most High and to trust God for strength in hardship.
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1
Pray that your family would have a shield of protection against temptation, and they would always be on guard, standing firm in faith. May your family learn to stand firm on God’s promises and refute temptation with God’s word.
Be on guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13
We thank you Lord for answering our prayers! We believe it. We receive it, now, in Jesus’ name!
I know what you’re thinking “peace is a blessing?” It certainly is. Here’s how.
You ever have one of those days where wrong was the only right that happened in your day? The kind of day that made you rethink why you had children, started school, took on a new project, or volunteered to help on that assignment. We’ve all been there—some of us longer than others—but when those moments subside and all goes back to being calmer—more tranquil? Whew!
Doesn’t it feel like being wrapped in a warm blanket fresh out the dryer on a frigid day? Can you picture that deep exhale? That collective sigh of release with a sprinkle of relaxation and ease? That’s peace. That’s the blessing. And you know what? We’re happier for it.
Psalm 29:11
The absence of agitation or discord. Rest. Safety.
And that’s not all. Peace in this passage denotes completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, as well as the absence of agitation or discord.
I don’t know about you, but this type of peace seems like the kind of thing we all need. It sounds like the kind of thing that would be a blessing to a weary soul. Like a fresh wind on a stale day. Wouldn’t you agree?
