Spirit of Refreshing | Hestina’s Jewels

Praise The Lord All You Great People!

The dictionary defines refreshing as “having the power to restore freshness, vitality, or energy.”

Isn’t that just what the Father longs to do for us? To bring refreshing to our souls and spirits? To restore our empty wells filling us with energy, wisdom, faith and peace?

Acts 3:20 (ESV)  tells us that “Times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus.”

Refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord! Beautiful ones, in these times of uncertainty, pain, anguish and sheer weariness, we can be find comfort and refreshing in the presence of the Lord. You can trust Him to renew your energy, your hope and your life. Join me in the Spirit of Refreshing Confession:

My spirit has been refreshed. I thank the Lord that all displeasure is dismissed out of my life. I am a person who obeys God’s word. I have confidence in the word of God for my life.I am refreshed, strengthened, and blessed. I have a peaceful spirit.I am united with the Body of Christ. I make a covenant with my family, friends, church, and community to help them reach their destiny in life. I, thank You Sweet Lord for the spirit of refreshing.

“Therefore we are relieved and comforted and encouraged [at the result]. And in addition to our own [personal] consolation, we were especially delighted at the joy of Titus, because you have all set his mind at rest, soothing and refreshing his spirit. 2 Corinthians 7:13 (AMPC)

Faithful Servant | Hestina’s Jewels

Hello All You Great People! A faithful person knows what God has put in their heart, and even though they may feel like quitting, they don’t give up! Faithful definitions: Constant, loyal imply qualities of stability, dependability, and devotion One of the most important lessons me and you can learn is to be faithful with something until God lets us know we are finished with it. A faithful person is committed to doing whatever God tells them to do -no matter what! 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 (Amplified Bible) SO THEN, let us [apostles] be looked upon as ministering servants of Christ and stewards (trustees) of the mysteries (the secret purposes) of God. 2.Moreover, it is [essentially] required of stewards that a man should be found faithful [proving himself worthy of trust]. A Prayer for the Anxious, Worried or Fearful | Hestina’s Jewels

Praise The Lord All You Wonderful People

Today’s Jewel: Cast your cares and receive God’s blessing of peace!

Anxiousness. Worry. Fear. When you look at the state of the world today, it’s not too difficult to understand why so many of us are battling the after effects of these three emotions. Some of us aren’t sleeping. Some aren’t eating. But for some of us, the effects are more intense. We become overwhelmed – paralyzed as we scramble to find some semblance of relief or normalcy.

It helps to know that even at the height of our troubles, anxiousness is optional.

Don’t be anxious about anything; rather, bring all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks.  Philippians 4:6

Worry is optional.

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Fear is optional.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, of cowardice, but He has given us a spirt of power, love and sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a clam, well-balanced mind] 2 Timothy 1:7

These scriptures offer a blueprint – a beautiful example of the kind of prayers we can and should pray when we are anxious, fearful or worried. We understand that we can reject succumbing to anxiousness because God reminds us that we do not have to be anxious about anything. We can cast away worry, because God promises to strengthen and help us. We can rebuke fear because we’ve been given a spirit of power and the ability to be calm and well-balanced.

Regardless of the situation or the emotion, we can present our requests and prayers to God and He will answer us. He will protect us. He will strengthen and help us. And He will cause it all to work to our benefit.

We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Let’s petition God together…

Sweet Lord of rest and comfort, we come to you with our heaviness, with our worry, anxiousness and fear. We come to you oh God as the author and finisher of our faith. The Magnificent One. Our hope.

Help us Gracious Lord to cast our cares on you in exchange for your peace, for you hope, for your love and your healing salve. Help us. Strengthen us. Free us. Remind us to lay down our burdens and receive your light and easy yoke. Let your peace envelope us, shield us, and deliver us.

We thank you for helping us release our worries. We thank you for proving to us that we are not alone or forgotten. We thank you for being a light and keeping our shoulders light. We thank you, oh God and we bless you.

Who Needs Comfort? Well, You.

Blessings and love Beautiful Ones,

Comfort is defined as “the state of physical ease, freedom from pain or constraint. The easing of a person’s grief or distress; to console.” Let’s pause and think on that for a moment.

Now let’s read that again.

The easing of a person’s grief or distress.

Thirty-six characters. Eight words. One powerful statement.

In the wake of turmoil, unrest, and escalating events that often leave us gasping for a breath – searching for a way out – hoping for a little reprieve, these eight simple words offer us a lifeline.

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthian 1:3-4
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

God is with us. God will comfort us.

Two sentences. Two phrases designed to breathe peace into our hearts and bring about a collective exhale of relief. We’re not alone. Comfort is our birthright. And we can allow the Lover of our souls to wrap us in it, at will.

His promises are yes and amen. Let the Comforter strengthen and relieve you of your distress and your grief. You’ll be so glad you did.

The Power of Peace | Hestina’s Jewels

Hello Beautiful Ones!

In a world of uncertainty, angst, pandemics, and every pressing thing on every side, I want to you know this: God is concerned about YOU. He is concerned about YOUR family. He is concerned about YOUR well-being. And even though things may look like they’re falling apart or going every which way but the right way, God’s promises for your life will always come to pass.

This is where peace comes in.

Peace is power. It is “freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts” that infringe on our faith and growth. Peace is a disruptor to fear, anxiety or worry. It anchors us – securing us firmly in place so that we are not easily shaken or intimidated.

God’s peace surpasses all understanding. If we allow it, peace can permeate every facet of our lives paving the way for our faith to grow – for our trust in God to deepen.

[Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the  Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. Jeremiah 17:7 (AMP)

Beautiful One, God knew you when you were in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5). He approved of you as His chosen instrument, and before you were born He set you apart.

You are unique and wonderfully made. You are created by a God who loves and cares for you. I encourage you to allow His peace to anchor you during your storm.

And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always]. Colossians 3:15 (AMP)

Remember, God is for you (Romans 8:31), God is with you, and He is ALWAYS on your side. Let His peace lead you from faith to faith, and glory to glory!

Blessing &  Love From My Heart To Yours,

Hello All You Awesome People!

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

A good word on this day: God has and WILL continue to do well on your behalf. He continues to protect us, nurture us and assure us even in the midst of life’s trials or hard circumstances. It’s okay to trust Him. In fact, we should trust Him at ALL times.

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. Psalm 84:1 (NLT)

The Word promises that that we are granted grace and glory–He is our light and shield and promises to withhold no good thing for us. So don’t get discouraged especially when things don’t go the way you want or expect them to.

Remember the Lord grants favor and honor. He does not hold back any blessing from those who live innocently.

Did this message empower and encourage you? I like to think the word of God is a battering ram and a refreshing wind. We serve a 5-star kind of God. Don’t you agree?
