To All You Wonderful People
Today’s Word “Patience”
Definition: Patience is the quality of being able to calmly wait or endure, not easily provoked; long suffering; persevering.
Hebrews 10:36 (Amplified Bible) For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and [a]carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.
While waiting on God, how many times have you found yourself acting impatiently and saying how long is this going to take? God’s timing is different from yours and you may often find yourself in need of patience. You may think that you are too busy to wait and allow things to grow naturally.
But God works in His own time and in His own way. He teaches us the value of patience. In the larger perspective of life, eternal lessons teach us that patience is required for the things that are really important.
The Scripture uses the image of a farmer patiently waiting for seed, soil, sun and rain to do his work. The field must be plowed, the seed sown, the land fertilized and watered, the soil weeded, and the crop tended, before it comes to full fruition. So it is with you. When you cultivate patience, you are growing the fruit of the Spirit in your life.
